The Couple
We have both been living abroad for a few years now and met when we were celebrating New Year at Sydney Harbour in Australia. Sam was living in New Zealand at the time and I was in Sydney. However, after just a few months I moved to Christchurch to begin the rest of my life with him as I knew he was the one.
It was during a snow boarding holiday last year with Sam’s twin brother and girlfriend, Kate that Sam got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The twins had hatched a plan for a double proposal on top of the Remarkables in Queenstown, New Zealand. It was such a shock to both Kate and I – we could not believe it!! A year later and it was our big day!
We travelled home from New Zealand to tie the knot on my home ground, the Scottish Borders. We both wanted an informal country feel wedding to celebrate our special day with our family and friends and that is exactly what Clint Lodge, St Boswells offered; it ticked all the boxes.
After the venue had been sought out the real planning began. However, the choice of photographer was easy because my sister Claire had attended her best friend’s wedding the summer before and she knew exactly what Story of Love was capable of. Natalie did not disappoint, we were absolutely blown away with both her professionalism and her natural ability to take the most fantastic photos.
Natalie was so easy to work with and her passion for her job is apparent. The images were exactly what we asked for during our relaxed consultation before the wedding. We can’t recommend Natalie highly enough. She is so relaxed, friendly and easy with people and the photographs reflect this in every way. She has captured all our special moments and was so unobtrusive we were hardly aware of her presence throughout the day.
About the Photographer:
I am Natalie and started Story of Love Wedding Photography five years ago in the Bonnie Scottish Borders. I love everything about weddings and feel so lucky to be the one to capture these memories for my couples to love and cherish forever.
When I’m not viewing the world through my lens I love spending time with my friends and family and being mummy to my two year old Alice.

What Did I love about the Day:
I love an outdoors wedding, particularly this lovely little quaint venue right in the heart of the Scottish Borders. I loved the way this couple looked at each other and smiled and giggled all day. A real relaxed fun wedding with an amazing party at night! A real honour to capture for this gorgeous couple.
