Today we feature Childhood sweethearts, Sallie-Ann and Adam, and their special day which was captured by Walker & Walker Photographers.

Sallie-Ann and Adam had a winter themed wedding in Aldwark, near York. This lovely couple had waited over 20 years for this day as destiny found them both. This was meant to be. Sallie Ann looked absolutely radiant. Everything was perfect from the light to the weather. Despite the cold the family beamed all day their happiest day reflected on everyone involved.

Our table favours were a badge and donation to cancer research as this is a charity close to our hearts. These were placed in coordinating envelopes with matching text.

Our wedding breakfast was hearty Yorkshire food. Ham hock terrine with Yorkshire piccalilli to start then Yorkshire beef with all the trimmings and sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

I stuck jewelled crystal wording on both our shoes as a surprise. Adams were blue diamanté and mine were crystal clear. The left shoe read ‘I’ and the right one ‘do’. I bought these online from Amazon.

I decorated two bay trees with battery powered fairy lights and planted them then tied Ivory ribbon in large flowing bows around each stem. These sat in the entrance of the church. I also made Ivory bows to decorate the pew ends. The Christmas tree was decorated to match our colour scheme but the little church was so beautiful anyway it needed little to dress it up.

Our first dance was to John Legends ‘all of you’
We had fireworks with hot chocolate and a ceilidh by Fiddlers Wreck in the evening which was my best idea! Everyone danced all night whatever age or ability!
An elaborate evening buffet with a huge cheeseboard!

Then hotdogs at midnight to end a perfect day!
