Today we feature the lovely wedding of Anna and Adam who got married at The Edwardian Marquee in Bray, and had their day captured by London Wedding Photographer Matt Badenoch Photography.

The couple
Our story started a little bit like all good romcoms with a will they won’t they moment that lasted for over a year! We met at work in my first week and Adam’s last week so barely got to know each other beyond our mutual love for the smell of petrol and totally opposite tastes in music. About a year later, Adam’s best friend Matt (who happened to be one of my work friends) had a birthday party where we were reunited and started dating. 8 years down the line and our conversation topics have definitely improved!

The Day
Neither of us would really describe ourselves as ‘typical wedding people’ and aren’t keen on being the centre of attention, so when we started planning the wedding we put a lot of thought into our priorities for the day. We wanted to make sure everyone had fun, were well fed, and felt comfortable enough to let their hair down. It helped that we had such a great venue, The Edwardian Marquee in Bray, where the kids (and most of the adults!) could run around and play with the garden games to let off some energy. My favourite part of the day was probably when our guests found out we were taking everyone on a boat trip up the Thames, coming back to massive pans of street food for the wedding breakfast. Having our closest friends and family around us made the day so special. Everyone seemed so happy and excited and that atmosphere totally made the day what it was!

The Photographer
I’m a London based full time wedding photographer. When I’m not working I love travelling, exploring places and meeting new interesting people. It’s one of the reasons I’m such a fan of London. There’s always things going on and new discovers to be found.

How would you describe your photography style?
My slightly alternative style of wedding photography is all about capturing all the amazing moments and expressions that fill a wedding day as they naturally happen. Be it laughs, tears or crazy moves on the dance floor. Looking back at these photos allows couples to remember exactly how it felt to be there.

What did you love about the day?
The relaxed, fun and celebratory atmosphere that sounded the whole day was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Highlights for me definitely included the boat ride and the garden games. These both allowed me to capture everyone having a dam good time.
