Dordogne, France Rural Wedding
We feature the lovely wedding of Alice and Eric captured by photographer David Page, a France based Wedding Photographer.
Alice and Eric, a matrimonial joining of America and Australia in the heart of the French countryside. Guests to this wonderful wedding flew into France from 7 different countries to celebrate this fantastic day. It was seemingly apt that this intercontinental love affair began for Alice and Eric with a chance meeting on an aeroplane!
For the wedding venue Alice’s parents had the most wonderful family home set in the beautiful Dordogne region of France. Kate Bouyer a wedding planner with MarryMeInFrance (www.marrymeinfrance.com) organised the whole event down to the finest detail. The day’s events ran like clockwork which was no mean feat in moving around 100 people from the rural wedding venue and countless local chambre d’hotes to the local church and then back to the family home for the evening reception. There was a great feel to the day and everyone at the wedding was just having such a good time that it made it such a pleasure to cover for Alice and Eric. Hopefully they can look back on all the photos for many years to come and relive their day over and over again.
I am a British born photographer who has been living and working in France for the past 8 years. I am so fortunate to be able to photograph in some of the most beautiful romantic venues imaginable in the land of romance, France. From glorious Chateaux to rustic barns I travel around the South West of France photographing these glorious weddings.
My style of photography would probably be classed as “documentary”. In 20 years time, when my couples look back on their wedding day photos, I don’t particularly want them to be reminded of how they looked. I want them to be reminded of how they felt.
